School Tours: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10am in Jan, Feb and March.
No appointment is needed. These will last approx. 15-20 min and give an overview of our preschool. The same information that we share during school tours will be shared at Open House. We strongly suggest coming to tour WITHOUT your children when possible to be able to hear all the info presented. Direct classroom observation and private teacher meetings are not permitted due to security reasons.
- Open House/Information Session – Tuesday, Jan 17th 7:00 - 8:00pm. Parents Only Please. No childcare provided.
- Friday, Jan 27th In-House Registration – This is registration for all current HCP students and siblings. All applications due by Friday, Jan 27th.
- Friday, Feb 3rd Registration for Hope Chapel Members – all applications due postmarked by Fri, Feb 4th and available spaces will be selected lottery style and posted on or website by the week March 1st.
- Friday, Feb 10th Public Registration – all applications due postmarked by Fri, Feb 11thand available spaces will be selected lottery style and posted on or website by the week of Mar 1st..

Registration Fees:
At the time of registration, an $100 registration fee is due ($125 Registration Fee for TK Class). Once your child has been offered an available space, this registration fee is non-refundable unless you MOVE out of Wake County before classes begin and covers administrative costs and curriculum purchases. We do not keep Registration fees if your child is NOT offered a space. ** Please Note: If you registered during our initial registration and did not secure a space in one of our classes, your check will be held for 30 day available to pick up and then all checks not picked up will be shredded. **

You DO NOT need to be present to REGISTER. ALL applications can be mailed in or dropped off at front desk anytime after Jan 1st. School Tours and Open House/Info Session will cover exactly the same info. You do not need to go to both. All Applications will be processed closed lottery style by HCP Director and HCP Board after the deadlines listed. Update can be found on website the week of March 1st.
In-House Registration (current HCP families):
For first consideration and to guarantee a space, registration will be open until Friday, Jan 27th. There is no need to be wait in line or get here early. While all students are not guaranteed the classroom of their choice, all current students are guaranteed a space, if they register by Fri, Jan 27th. Class lists will be determined by the HCP Director, HCP teachers and at least one board member and will be posted over the summer prior to Meet the Teacher.
Parents will need to complete the registration application. Please complete one application per child. Forms along with the registration fee should be turned in stapled together or in an envelope and can be dropped in the tuition drop box, given to the HCP front desk or mailed in. If more than one child from a family is being registered, then place all of the forms in one envelope for the family. Class lists will be made available over the summer prior to Meet the Teacher.
After class lists are posted in the summer, if you would like to request a change, please contact the director directly. *Please note, if a current HCP family chooses NOT to register during by Friday, Jan 29th, an available space CANNOT be guaranteed.
Registration for Hope Chapel Members:
For first consideration, registration will be open through Friday, February 3rd. Class lists will be assigned by the HCP Director and at least one board member using a closed-lottery system, if needed.
Parents will need to complete the registration application. Please complete one application per child. Forms along with the registration fee should be placed in a sealed envelope. You may mail your registration postmarked by Feb 3rd or drop it off in person. If more than one child from a family is being registered, then place all of the forms in one envelope for the family. You will be notified of your child’s placement via our website or email by the week of Mar 1st .
Registration Open for Public:
*Lottery Style* For first consideration, registration will be open through Friday, Feb 10th. There is no need to be first in line on this date or to come to the school on this date. You can mail in your registration anytime after Jan 1st. As long as HCP has your Registration Form and fee postmarked by Friday, Feb 10th, your application will be accepted into our lottery drawing for the available spaces. Parents will need to complete the application. Please complete one application per child. Forms along with the registration fee should be placed in a sealed envelope. If more than one child from a family is being registered, then place all of the forms in one envelope for the family.
Available spaces will be assigned using a closed-lottery system with the HCP Director and at least one board member present. You will be notified of your child’s placement in our preschool by the week of March 1st. A list will be posted on our website, listing those who secured a space via last name and first initial, and those who are added to our waitlist also using last name and first initial. *
Look for this to be posted by the end of the week of March 1st. If your child did not receive a class slot and you requested that their name be placed on the waiting list, the preschool will notify you immediately when a slot becomes available. While you DO include your registration fee with your registration form, If you are placed on our waitlist, your registration check will NOT be cashed. HCP only accepts Registration Fees when a space is offered. You will be able to pick up your check for your Registration Fee anytime during the month of Feb and March, after which we will shred all remaining checks. HCP will not hold Registration fees for those on the waiting list after March 15th. When a space becomes available, you will be notified and have 48 hours to pay the registration fee.
* Wait-Lists:
After Early Registration, the waitlist for the 2012-2013 school year will be effective until Sept 1st, 2012. After this date, YOU must call the school and request to remain on the waitlist.
Tuition Payments:
The first tuition payment is due by August 1, 2012 and then every month on the first thereafter thru April 1st. All tuition payments are due one month in advance, so the September 1st payment is for October’s tuition.
Medical Information:
An up-to-date immunization record on file with your child’s pediatrician is required to attend Hope Chapel Preschool. While we do not require a copy on file, we strongly recommend you check with your doctor to make sure your child has all the necessary immunizations.
Toilet Training:
All children in the 3 year-old and 4 year-old classes must be toilet trained. See HCP Parent Handbook.

Wait List:
Wait lists will be used for all classes that are full. A child can be placed on more than one wait list. Please contact us directly to be placed on wait list. Registration fee is not required to be placed on a wait list.
School Calendar:
The first day of school will be Monday, August 27th. The last day of school will be Friday, May 18, 2013. Hope Chapel Preschool mainly follows the Wake County Public School System traditional calendar and observes all school holidays and teacher workdays, however does have a few small calendar differences (Christmas Break, First Day of School, last Day of School, ect)
